First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding brain-focused education and cross-education strength training (exercising the uninjured leg) early after ACL surgery helps recovery. 29 people aged 18-40 with ACL tears participated. Researchers measured changes in leg strength, brain structure, and brain activity to understand how the brain and muscles adapt after surgery.
