Knee stiffness after ACL surgery may slow muscle recovery, new study shows
NCT ID NCT06863610
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether having limited knee extension (more than 5 degrees) in the early weeks after ACL reconstruction affects how well the thigh muscles recover strength. Researchers will measure muscle strength and functional tests in 30 adults who had ACL repair with hamstring grafts. The goal is to understand if early knee stiffness leads to worse outcomes, which could help improve rehabilitation programs.
