Could a simple injection save your knee after a tear?

NCT ID NCT05204836

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested whether a single injection of zoledronic acid, a drug that strengthens bone, could slow down joint damage in young adults who recently tore their ACL. Researchers wanted to see if protecting the bone's tiny structure could prevent or delay the onset of osteoarthritis. The study was terminated early after enrolling only four participants.
