New drug duo aims to keep leukemia in check longer

Summary

This study tests two different drug combinations in people with untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). About 600 participants will receive either acalabrutinib plus venetoclax or venetoclax plus obinutuzumab. The goal is to see which combination controls the cancer longer and leaves fewer cancer cells behind.
