Summary

This study tested two treatment plans for people with advanced HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer that is aggressive. One group received a drug called abemaciclib plus hormone therapy. The other group started with a short course of chemotherapy, then switched to abemaciclib plus hormone therapy. The goal was to see which approach shrinks tumors better in the first 12 weeks. 162 people took part in this phase 2 trial.
