First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a dye called 5-ALA is safe to use in children and teens with brain tumors. The dye makes tumor tissue glow during surgery, helping surgeons remove more of it. 78 participants were given the dye before their operation, and researchers tracked any serious side effects. The goal was to see if this technique could improve surgery safety and accuracy for young patients.
