Doctors test flexible 3D-Printed spine implants to fight tumor damage
NCT ID NCT05396222
Summary
This study is testing a new, custom-made 3D-printed implant designed to replace parts of the spine removed during tumor surgery. The implant is made of titanium and has a flexible, bone-like structure intended to promote healing and reduce complications like sinking into bone. Researchers will enroll 18 patients to see if the implant is safe and effective at stabilizing the spine and helping bones fuse together after surgery.
