New 3D-Printed mesh aims to improve breast reconstruction after cancer surgery

Summary

This study tests a new 3D-printed biodegradable mesh used during breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer. The goal is to see if it improves cosmetic results and patient satisfaction while being safe. About 25 women aged 18-70 who need a full mastectomy and choose implant-based reconstruction will take part. The mesh is designed to support tissue regeneration and then dissolve over time.
