3D printed hearts could revolutionize how doctors learn Life-Saving procedures

NCT ID NCT06758141

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether 3D printed heart models help medical students, nurses, and residents learn complex heart procedures better than traditional slide presentations. Fifty participants were randomly assigned to train with either the 3D models or slides. The goal was to see if the models improve test scores on procedures like heart ablation and draining fluid around the heart.
