3D-Printed guides may improve dental implant success and reduce pain
NCT ID NCT07149987
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a 3D-printed surgical guide helps place dental implants more precisely than the traditional freehand method. Thirty adults with missing upper teeth received implants either with or without the guide. The researchers measured implant stability right after surgery and later, as well as pain levels. The goal was to see if the guided approach leads to better healing and less discomfort.
