Virtual surgery predicts real recovery: new tech aims to make lung cancer operations safer
NCT ID NCT07436598
Summary
This study is testing a new computer tool that creates a 3D model of a patient's lungs before lung cancer surgery. Doctors will use this model to perform a 'virtual surgery' to predict how well the patient's lungs will work after the real operation. The goal is to give surgeons a more accurate way to plan safe surgeries for 60 patients and understand their recovery over a year.
