Doctors use 3D imaging to see inside lungs of critically ill patients

NCT ID NCT07083973

Summary

This study aims to better understand how turning patients with severe lung failure (ARDS) onto their stomach affects air and blood flow in different parts of the lungs. Researchers will use a special 3D imaging technique on 30 adult patients who are on breathing machines and need to be placed in this position for medical care. The goal is to gather detailed information to help doctors use this treatment more effectively in the future.
