First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a very brief smoking cessation intervention called 3A-OR in family health centers across Turkey. About 2,400 smokers aged 15 and older will be randomly assigned to receive the intervention or usual care. The intervention involves asking about tobacco use, assessing motivation, advising quitting, offering help, and recording progress. Researchers will track quit rates at 3, 6, and 12 months to see if this simple approach works in routine primary care.
