New PET scan could spot hidden endometriosis lesions
NCT ID NCT07053982
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study explores whether a special PET scan called 18F-FES PET/CT can find endometriosis lesions more accurately than standard MRI. Researchers will scan 20 women with endometriosis—some with high pain and some with low pain—to see if the scan's brightness matches pain levels and estrogen receptor activity. The goal is to improve diagnosis and help guide treatment choices.
