First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new radioactive drug, 177Lu-HTK03170, designed to seek out and destroy prostate cancer cells that have spread. It is for men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer whose disease has worsened after other treatments. The trial will first find a safe dose, then measure how well it shrinks tumors and controls the cancer.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- 177Lu-HTK03170 (a radioactive drug that targets prostate cancer cells)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide a new, personalized radiation treatment option for men with advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to standard therapies.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-phase trial with only 50 participants, so the treatment may not prove effective or safe in larger groups. Potential side effects from radiation exposure are unknown at this stage.
