First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study uses a special MRI that tracks a harmless gas (129Xe) to see how well the lungs and heart exchange oxygen. Researchers will scan healthy people and those with lung disease, anemia, or blood clots to understand how these conditions affect breathing. The goal is to develop better ways to diagnose and monitor these problems without invasive tests.
