New mesh aims to stop hernias after belly surgery
Prevention OngoingThis study tests a special mesh (Deternia™) placed inside the belly during surgery to strengthen the closure and prevent incisional hernias. About 123 adults having planned abdominal surgery will get the mesh. Doctors will check for hernias using exams and ultrasound.
