Bilateral massive adrenal hemorrhage

A serious adrenal gland disorder characterized by acute bleeding into both adrenal glands. It is associated with illnesses such as severe sepsis, congestive heart failure, autoimmune etiologies such as antiphospholipid syndrome, the use of anticoagulants; especially in the setting of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, as well as severe physical stress such as trauma and surgery.
