NCT ID NCT07401992

First seen Feb 12, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding semaglutide (a drug used for diabetes and weight loss) to a standard topical cream can improve psoriasis symptoms and reduce body-wide inflammation. About 62 adults with plaque psoriasis who are overweight or have type 2 diabetes will receive either semaglutide pills or placebo for 12 weeks, along with the cream. Researchers will measure skin clearing, quality of life, and blood markers of inflammation.
