Heart imaging showdown: can software beat the wire?

NCT ID NCT07613996

First seen May 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether special software can diagnose coronary microvascular disease (problems in the heart's tiny blood vessels) using standard angiogram images, instead of needing a pressure wire inside the heart. About 192 adults with stable chest pain will have their angiogram images taken at rest, after a mild drug, and after a strong drug. Researchers will compare five different software programs to see which one matches the wire-based gold standard best. The goal is to find a less invasive way to diagnose this condition.
