First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of enzalutamide (a hormone blocker) and paclitaxel (chemotherapy) given before surgery to 24 people with a specific type of triple-negative breast cancer that has androgen receptors. The goal was to see if this treatment could shrink tumors enough to reduce the amount of breast tissue needing removal. The approach is part of a larger cancer research initiative.
