New pill combo aims to fight stubborn stomach tumors

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new oral drug called ziftomenib combined with imatinib in adults with advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) that have stopped responding to imatinib alone. The study will enroll about 157 people to see if the combination is safe and can shrink or stabilize tumors. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it.
