Community program aims to stop youth gun injuries before they happen

NCT ID NCT04804189

Summary

This study tested a community-based program called 'Guardians 4 Health' designed to prevent firearm injuries among youth. It worked with 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs across the U.S., teaching adult leaders, teen ambassadors, and youth participants how to be active bystanders, promote safe firearm storage, and reduce risks. The goal was to see if this training could change community norms and behaviors to help keep young people safe from firearm-related harm.
