Can a community program stop youth gun injuries?
NCT ID NCT04804189
Summary
This study tested a community-based training program called 'Guardians 4 Health' to see if it could help prevent firearm injuries among young people. The program was delivered through 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs and taught adult leaders, teen ambassadors, and youth participants about safe firearm storage and how to step in to prevent harm. Researchers compared this training to the clubs' usual safety programs to see if it changed people's attitudes, knowledge, and intentions to act safely.
