First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving older, frail adults monthly transfusions of blood plasma from young, healthy donors (ages 18-35) can safely reduce frailty and improve immune function. Thirty participants aged 55-95 will receive 12 monthly infusions and be followed for another year. The goal is to see if this approach can improve quality of life, thinking skills, and overall health.
