Yoga may mend DNA in stressed VIP security guards

NCT ID NCT07174804

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at whether yoga can reduce certain DNA changes (chromosomal translocations) in police security guards who have high-stress jobs protecting VIPs. 203 guards were split into two groups: one did yoga for 3 months, and the other continued their normal routine. Researchers measured DNA damage and stress levels before and after the program to see if yoga had a protective effect.
