New pain pill tested for foot surgery recovery

Summary
This study tested whether a new oral medication called XG005 could safely reduce pain after bunion surgery. 450 people who had the surgery were given either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo pill to compare their pain levels for 48 hours. The main goal was to see if the high dose worked better than the placebo at easing post-surgery pain.
