New pain pill tested for foot surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT06017999

Summary

This study tested whether a new oral medication, XG005, could safely reduce pain after bunion surgery. 450 people who had the surgery received either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo pill for three days while staying in a clinic. Researchers measured their pain levels closely to see if the medication worked better than the placebo.
