Summary
This study tests a teaching method called 'shape coding' to help deaf and hard of hearing middle schoolers improve their written English. The method uses visual cues to teach correct sentence structure. Researchers will work with 30 students in grades 5-8 who use both spoken English and American Sign Language. The goal is to see if this approach helps them write more accurate sentences.
