First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study explored whether hearing and vision loss are linked to delirium (sudden confusion) in hospital patients. Over 1,500 adults answered screening questions and had their hearing and vision tested. Researchers also tested if providing hearing devices and communication tips could lower delirium rates. The goal is to improve hospital care for older adults.
