New gel and glue combo takes on stubborn, smelly wounds

NCT ID NCT05983302

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a repairing gel (Supraz) combined with a platelet-rich plasma-fibrin glue can eliminate odor and help heal chronic wounds that haven't improved with standard care. About 40 adults with a single wound lasting at least 3 months will receive either the new treatment or standard care. The researchers will measure changes in wound odor, size, pain, and healing time over 2 months.
