First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a simple mental technique called WOOP (Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan) to help veterans with obesity lose weight. About 405 veterans used WOOP along with the VA's telephone weight-loss program MOVE! to see if it boosted motivation and weight loss. The goal was to make it easier for veterans to stick with healthy changes.
