First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at how breathing in woodsmoke changes the way your nose's immune system reacts to the flu virus. Healthy adults aged 18-49 will be exposed to woodsmoke and then given a live but weakened flu vaccine to see how their nasal immune responses change. The goal is to understand if woodsmoke makes it harder for the body to fight off flu infections.
