Could a Mother's womb sounds be medicine for preemies?

NCT ID NCT05298748

Summary

This study is testing whether playing specially designed womb-like sound recordings to premature babies in the NICU can help their brains develop better breathing control. Researchers want to see if these sounds reduce episodes where babies stop breathing (apnea), have low oxygen, or have slow heart rates. The study involves about 34 very premature infants and uses a simple, low-risk sound intervention.
