Womb recordings could calm preemie breathing problems
NCT ID NCT05298748
Summary
This study is testing if playing specially designed womb-like sounds to premature babies in the NICU can help their brains develop better breathing control. Researchers want to see if this sound exposure reduces episodes where babies stop breathing (apnea), have low oxygen, or have a slow heart rate. The study involves about 34 infants born between 29 and 33 weeks of pregnancy.
