Wisdom tooth transplant showdown: which nerve strategy wins?
NCT ID NCT07291531
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests three ways to manage the nerve inside a wisdom tooth after it's moved to replace a broken molar. About 360 adults aged 18-40 will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: standard root canal weeks later, a special root tip treatment during surgery, or just trimming the root tip to keep the nerve alive. The goal is to see which method leads to the healthiest, longest-lasting tooth over 5 years.
