First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether combining two minimally invasive procedures—Hybrid Argon Plasma Coagulation (HAPC) and Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG)—is safer and more effective for weight loss than ESG alone. 45 adults with obesity (BMI 30-40) who had not succeeded with non-surgical methods took part. The main goal was to see if the combined approach led to more durable sutures in the stomach at 6 months.
