First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looked at whether losing weight before in vitro fertilization (IVF) helps overweight and obese women have a live birth. Researchers split 158 women into two groups: one followed a diet and exercise program for 3 months before starting IVF, while the other did not. The main goal was to see if weight loss improved the chance of having a baby.
