Can a fitness tracker get heart patients back on their feet faster?
NCT ID NCT04216238
Summary
This study tested whether giving heart surgery patients a wearable activity tracker (like a Fitbit) could help them recover faster. Researchers wanted to see if the tracker motivated 12 patients to walk more after surgery and return to their normal activity levels sooner. They tracked patients' walking, motivation, and hospital stay over 12 weeks to see if the device made a difference.
