Can a fitness tracker get heart patients back on their feet faster?
NCT ID NCT04216238
Summary
This study tested if giving heart surgery patients a wearable activity monitor (like a fitness tracker) could help them recover more quickly. Researchers wanted to see if tracking their steps would motivate patients to walk more after surgery, helping them return to their normal activity level sooner. The study involved 12 patients who wore the device for 12 weeks after their operation.
