Robotic 'Smart Garment' aims to ease stiff muscles for veterans

NCT ID NCT05926596

Summary

This study is testing a lightweight, wearable robotic suit (an exoskeleton) designed to help stretch the legs of people with spasticity, a condition of muscle stiffness often caused by spinal cord injury. The goal is to see if the device can safely assist with stretching and movement during different activities, like sitting or lying down, to potentially improve leg function and quality of life. Researchers will enroll 10 eligible veterans to try the device in a lab setting and gather feedback on its ease of use.
