Vibrating ankle bracelet aims to steady Seniors' steps
NCT ID NCT07220707
Summary
This small pilot study is checking if a wearable ankle bracelet that delivers gentle vibrations can help improve walking and balance in older adults. Researchers will test 20 residents of Jefferson's Ferry who use canes or walkers, measuring their mobility before and after wearing the device for about an hour. The goal is to see if this technology might help reduce fall risk and make daily movement easier.
