Vibrating ankle bracelet aims to steady Seniors' steps
NCT ID NCT07220707
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a wearable ankle bracelet that delivers gentle vibrations can help improve walking stability and mobility in older adults who use canes or walkers. Researchers will enroll 20 volunteers aged 65+ who live at a specific independent living community and have concerns about falling. Participants will complete standard walking and balance tests before and after wearing the device for about an hour to see if it makes a difference.
