Simple warm rinse cuts bleeding risk in Weight-Loss surgery
NCT ID NCT07475169
Summary
This study tested if rinsing the surgical area with warm saline (body temperature) instead of room-temperature saline reduces early bleeding after a common weight-loss surgery. It involved 200 adults undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost change during the operation could help patients recover faster with fewer complications.
