First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a drug called istradefylline can improve walking gains from low-oxygen therapy in people with chronic, incomplete spinal cord injury. About 40 adults will receive the drug or a placebo before walking practice. The goal is to see if blocking adenosine helps the nervous system strengthen walking pathways.
