First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests a walking program that uses a short course of anti-inflammatory pain medication to help people with painful hip or knee osteoarthritis walk more. The goal is to see if taking the medication only around planned walks can improve walking ability without causing side effects. About 55 adults with moderate to severe pain will take part. The program also includes proper footwear, education, and safety monitoring.
