New heart ablation method could reduce deadly rhythm recurrence

NCT ID NCT06464315

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests a new method for guiding ablation (tissue destruction) in patients with ventricular tachycardia, a dangerous heart rhythm that can cause sudden death. Instead of triggering the dangerous rhythm during the procedure, doctors will target only areas of slow electrical conduction. The goal is to make the procedure safer and more effective, reducing the chance of the rhythm returning. About 36 adults with scar-related ventricular tachycardia will take part.
