First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using virtual reality (VR) or squeezing a stress ball during insulin injections can reduce pain and anxiety in older adults (65+) with type 2 diabetes. 90 participants were split into three groups: one used VR, one used a stress ball, and one received standard care. The goal was to see if these simple distractions improve the injection experience.
