VR boosts caregiver empathy in dementia study

Summary
This study tested whether a single virtual reality (VR) session, where caregivers experience what it's like to have dementia, can improve their empathy and attitudes. 227 caregivers of people with dementia took part. The results showed that the VR program helped caregivers better understand and connect with the person they care for.
