New pill takes aim at Hard-to-Treat cancers

Summary
This study tests an experimental pill, VLS-1488, in people with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to other treatments. The drug works by blocking a protein that helps cancer cells divide. The trial has two parts: first finding a safe dose, then checking if it shrinks tumors. About 200 adults with specific cancers like ovarian, lung, or breast cancer may join.
